About this study
Goodness is the goodness of God Himself, intrinsic and original. The Hebrew root tov is what God speaks over creation — "and it was good." Goodness isn't moral conformity. It's the integrity of being what you were made to be.
In this study you'll trace agathōsynē through the New Testament, see tov across the Old, watch Jesus refuse to be called "good" except in reference to the Father, and learn the difference between performed goodness and Spirit-borne goodness.
For the believer tired of performing. For the one who suspects their "goodness" is fueled by fear of disapproval. For the one ready to receive a goodness they didn't manufacture.
