What we collect
Refining Studies ("we," "us") collects a minimal amount of personal information so we can deliver your purchase and stay in touch if you want us to. Specifically:
- Your email address: required to send you the studies you purchase and (if you opt in) our newsletter.
- Your name (if provided at checkout), so receipts and emails feel like they come from a person, not a robot.
- Anonymous site analytics: page views, traffic source, country. No individual tracking, no advertising cookies.
We do not see, store, or have access to your credit card number. Payment information is collected by Paddle (our payment processor and Merchant of Record).
How we use it
We use the email address you provide to:
- Deliver the digital products you've purchased
- Send order receipts and re-download links
- Send our newsletter (only if you opted in)
- Reply to support questions you've sent us
Who we share it with
We share data with the third-party services we use to run the business. Each has its own privacy policy you can review:
- Paddle: payment processing and Merchant of Record. Handles checkout, sales tax/VAT, and receipts. Privacy policy
- Cloudflare: hosting, CDN, and file delivery (we store your purchased PDFs in Cloudflare R2 and serve them through short-lived signed links). Privacy policy
- Resend: sends your order delivery email with your download links, and (if you opted in) holds your address in our newsletter audience for occasional updates. Privacy policy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime via the link at the bottom of every email.
If you're in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights, those rights apply.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: the ones required for site functionality and (where applicable) anonymous analytics. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be announced via the newsletter.
